Traditional Music Concert between ROK and Mongolia

Mongolian Traditional Music Orchestra performed at Gwangju 5.18 Memorial Min-ju Hall on Jun 22th to commemorate 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Mongolia. Kim Gwang-bok, professor of the Department of Korean Traditional Music, took the responsibility of total director. The performance was divided into two parts. The concert had a performance aboutMongolian’s natural environment and inherent emotions, including Thinking the Gobi desert, Loving mind, Father and mother etc. In addition, the orchestra played “We Are the Champion”, by British rock band ‘Queen’ and Yu ji-sook, a Korean traditional singer, sang a Korean song. All of performer sang together Arirang inthe end of performance. Professor Kim said, “Mongolian Traditional Music Orchestra is the world-famous Mongolian art company. Through exchange concert between Korea and Mongolia, each other’s culture will be more advanced.”
