Meeting for Exchange Programs with Europe

On May 27th, there was a meeting at Office of International Affairs (OIA) of Chonnam National University (CNU) about how to enhance exchange programs with universities in Europe. The meeting was attended with Shin Gyung-gu, Vice President of OIA, four professors of CNU and a staff of OIA. Participants shared the difficulties in conducting international exchange programs with European universities. They agreed that CNU are developing programs to enhance personal connection between universities in Europe and CNU but Most European universities were reluctant to initiate exchange programs with foreign universities. They tend to be passive in generating exchange programs with foreign universities, and do not feel it necessary in the first place. Participants of the meeting felt it necessary that CNU initiate the exchange programs with European universities. Choi Yong-lan, staff of OIA said “CNUians need to have more challenging attitude for this and improve eyesight of looking world widely.”
