AI is rapidly transforming the creative landscape, and advances in image generation technology are making visual content creation easier than ever. This shift has also affected the field of art, sparking debates over copyright, ethical issues and the question of whether something created artificially can be considered creative or even art. A recent controversy arose from a social media trend that involved converting photos into well-known animation styles, raising concerns over the unauthorized use of existing works.

As we live in a society where AI is increasingly becoming a part of everyday life, it should be seen as a tool to complement human creativity, not replace it. In my opinion, the collaboration between artists and AI holds immense potential to revolutionize how we create and experience art. Rather than viewing AI as a threat, we should embrace it as a powerful ally capable of expanding creative horizons. By merging human emotion and intuition with AI’s efficiency and innovation, we can explore entirely new styles, techniques, and forms of artistic expression. This synergy can give rise to a transformative era in visual storytelling, where imagination is amplified by technology.

However, it is crucial that clear protections are established for both existing and future creators. This includes developing transparent guidelines, and ensuring artists receive proper recognition and compensation for their original contributions. Striking a balance between technological advancement and the protection of creators’ rights is essential, as the inevitable coexistence of art and technology will only be possible on the foundation of firm ethical principles.
