CNU held an entrance ceremony for 2025’s incoming freshmen at Minjumaru on Feb. 28. A total of 5,196 undergraduates were admitted, 1,166 for master’s degrees, and 294 for doctoral degrees, bringing the overall number of new students to 6,656. During the ceremony, CNU’s president celebrated top-performing students with certificates. Prior to the ceremony, faculty and student council members prepared a special song and dance performance to welcome the new students. CNU President Lee Keun-bae said, “Thank you for choosing CNU. I feel an immense sense of responsibility. Everyone here is cheering for you to follow your dreams on campus.” One of the freshmen who attended the entrance ceremony, Park Ji-min (Freshman, Dept. of Music Education) said, “It was an unusual experience, preparing for a freshman orientation with seniors. Now that I am at the university I hoped for, I want to work hard and engage in activities such as the student council during my university life.”
