CNU held an orientation welcoming exchange students for the first semester of 2025 at Cosmos Hall in the Engineering 4 building on Feb. 28. The international exchange student program, run by the Office of International Affairs (OIA), is operated in cooperation with foreign universities around the globe. A total of 137 students from 26 countries attended this orientation. In the orientation, OIA officials introduced information about campus facilities, the academic calendar, and dormitory life. Two programs were introduced to help exchange students adapt to Korea: “DiscoverK,” designed to offer firsthand experience of Korean culture and history, and the CNU buddy program. Kang Eui-huack, Dean for International Affairs, said during the event, “I do welcome you to CNU and hope you have a great time here in Gwangju. We will provide full support for exchange students to experience diverse cultures in an optimal study environment and broaden their understanding of Korean society.”
