Chonnam National University (CNU) has started volunteer activities in Laos since Dec. 26. 2024. This winter, the university’s volunteer team embarked on the “One Month in Laos” program.
The vlounteer team, composed of 12 students selected through an open recruitment process and one staff member, departed for Laos on Dec. 26 . They have been staying in Phoudindaeng Village, Vang Vieng, for one month, while conducting various activities to support education and improve daily living conditions for local residents.
The volunteer program was started in 2012, when CNU began its partnership with the Phoudindaeng Youth Center in Laos. It has been steadily running since then. Over the years, the university has completed 10 volunteer activities, including establishing a learning center in Vang Vieng region.
