The Department of Physics at Chonnam National University (CNU) held a special lecture with Baik Ae-ree, an international civil servant working in Geneva, Switzerland. The event, part of the “Career Planning” curriculum for the Dept. of Physics, took place at the College of Natural Science Building 3 on Dec. 4. She gave a lecture about her experience learning English as a workplace tool and developing attitudes in non-governmental and international organizations. She shared how her life changed after moving abroad and communicating with people from diverse backgrounds in English. Kim Eui-hyuk (Freshman, Dept. of Physics) said, “To be honest, I attended the lecture because it was part of my mandatory class. However, I learned a lot about international organizations and received various tips about living abroad. It was a good experience.”

Not only physics students but also other CNU students attend the lecture.
