The CNU Library operated an outdoor library event in Bongji Field on Oct. 11 and 12. During the two-day event, students, staff, and local residents were invited to read books and participate in an entertaining array of mostly literary activities. The library set up bean bags and picnic mats, allowing attendees to enjoy reading in the days’ warm sunlight. Exhibitions and events, such as a book exchange, “Book Recommendations for Every MBTI Personality Type,” and “Best Reading Photo Challenge,” were organized for the booths. As part of the 2024 Gwangju and Jeonnam Read and Talk (GJRT) program, the “One Book Talk Concert” was also held during the outdoor library. Author Yun Jung-eun attended the event to give a talk about her book, “Marigold Mind Laundry,” which was selected as the 2024 Book of the Year by GJRT. Kim Tae-hyung (Senior, Dept. of Horticulture) said, “It is great to engage in outdoor activities while exploring various booths. I hope there will be more outdoor events like this.”
