Chonnam National University (CNU) hosted its 2024 Job Festa at 5.18 Square on September 10. Representatives from 50 public and private organizations offered live consulting sessions and alumni mentoring for students. Students who pre-registered for a session received 20 minutes of practical and personalized advice. Participants could inquire about which qualification to highlight and how to emphasize them effectively. They may even ask what skills they needed to acquire to be hired, rather than passively listening to generic promotions.
“I felt the vibrancy and earnestness of the students I met,” said Kim Chang-hyun, a graduate of CNU and an employee of Samsung Electronics. “I realized a lot from them.” He added, “This event is great for students. Such events were not held during my time, so I had to visit the university’s Job Center.”
Promotional booths on youth policies and recruitment briefings from corporations provided additional useful information. The event was also held online from September 2 to 9, featuring a series of lectures focused on specific strategies for job seekers.
