CNU hosted an orientation session for exchange students invited for the 2024 fall semester at Yongbong Hall on Aug. 30. Around 219 students from 26 nations, including France, China, the U.S., Germany, and Malaysia, attended the orientation. The Office of International Affairs organized the program to provide essential resources and information for new exchange students, such as guidance on dormitory regulations, an academic calendar, and alien registration cards. The office also offers a buddy program that pairs incoming exchange students with domestic students. The program is designed not only to support the academic success and social integration of exchange students but also to enhance their understanding of Korean culture through active cultural exchange. Grace Carmon (Exchange Student, Dept. of English Language and Literature, USA) said, “Being an exchange student here in South Korea is so much better with the buddy system. I was so nervous about making friends, finding my classes, and making sure I had everything I need to settle into the dormitory. With the support I received while navigating a new life abroad, I now feel even more excited about this new adventure.”
