The Chonnam National University Library hosted an opening ceremony for a  new around-the-clock reading room, "Baegya," located on the fourth floor of its annex, on April 2. The library had a preview event to showcase the reading room and selected Baegya (white night) as the name of its reading room. Song Ha-eun (Sophomore, Dept. of Chinese Language and Literature), who won the first prize in the naming competition, said, "I named it with the idea that it represents students who study passionately even at night when everyone sleeps." She added that it is an honor that the reading room will be called Baegya, which she named. Meanwhile, President Jung Sungtaek, faculty, officials and students visited the ceremony and looked around the reading room.
