Students line up to watch stage performances at CNU’s annual “Yongbong aedongpuri” festival on Sept. 29.

Chonnam National University (CNU) hosted its annual “Yongbong Daedongpuri” festival on Sept. 29 to 30, under the title “Prasino” and the theme “Yongbibongmu,” meaning “The dragon flies, the phoenix dances.” The two-day celebration kicked off with an opening ceremony and performances by student clubs on the main stage at Sports Ground 1. Throughout the festival, both student performers and popular artists took to the stage, drawing enthusiastic crowds. The festival grounds buzzed with plenty of daytime activities. Students and visitors joined competitive events, explored promotional and local vendor booths, and enjoyed a variety of delicious treats from food trucks. With its mix of performances and activities, the festival transformed the campus into a dynamic cultural space. Seo Doo-hee (Freshman, Dept. of Fine Arts) said, “This is my first festival. I was so excited to see one of my favorite artists perform. It’s been a great opportunity to make wonderful memories with my friends.”
