CNU Selected for Glocal University 30

Chonnam National University (CNU) has been officially selected for the Ministry of Education's “Glocal University 30” project, aimed at fostering innovative regional universities as part of national balanced development. On Sept. 28, CNU announced that its proposals, “Human-Centered AI Talent Development Linking AI and Humanities” and “Specialization in AI and Future Mobility to Foster Regional Strategic Industries,” received high evaluations during the selection process. With this achievement, CNU is set to play a key role in realizing both Gwangju's vision of becoming the "AI Capital" and the national goal of becoming one of the world's top three AI powers. CNU President Lee Keun-bae said, “This selection is the result of the passion shared by the university and the local community,” adding, “We will cultivate human-centered AI talent and emerge as a leading glocal university that shapes the future of both the region and the nation.”
