Cultural Lecture Series on Human Rights Kicks Off on Campus

The first session of the Cultural Lecture Series on Human Rights took place on Sept. 23 at the Kim Nam-ju Memorial Hall, located in the College of Humanities 1. Lawyer Lim Jae-sung (Haemaru Law Firm) delivered a lecture under the topic “When Does the Moment of Responsibility Come?: When the Voices of Victims of State Violence Meet Accountability.” The lecture series, titled "A Walk through the Human Rights Landscape at Twenty," is organized by the Gwangju Human Rights Office of the National Human Rights Commission of Korea to mark its 20th anniversary. The series has been held four times through Oct. 28 and aims to provide an opportunity for local citizens and university members to share their knowledge and experiences in the humanities.
