The Department of Political Science and International Relations at Chonnam National University hosted a political lecture titled "Lunch & Politics" at the Annex of the College of Social Sciences Building on Sept. 12. The lecture, led by Ph.D. Kim Hak-jae (Korea University), focused on former President Kim Dae-jung’s reconciliation strategies and his opposition against extremism. In this regard, Jung See-yoon (Junior, Department of Sociology) shared his thoughts on the event with the Tribune, “I found the idea of ‘reconciliation’ interesting, especially in the era of hate and conflict. I learned it takes a lot of effort to reconcile with other people from this lecture.” Four more "Lunch & Politics" lectures are scheduled over the next two months.

Kim Hak-jae speaks on “Kim Dae-jung’s ideology of reconciliation and anti-extremist stance.”
Kim Hak-jae engages in an open dialogue with participants during the closing session of the lecture.
