CNU Holds 73rd Commencement Ceremony

CNU held its 2024 Fall commencement Ceremony at Minjumaru, on Aug. 26. A total of 1,689 graduates were awarded their degrees, including 978 bachelor’ s degrees, 542 master’ s degrees, 168 doctoral degrees, and one honorary doctorate. CNU President Lee Keun-bae gave a congratulatory message, “Dear graduates, join your region and move forward into the world and the future. The path you walk is the path of Chonnam National University, and it will become humanity’s path toward a better world.” Graduates took commemorative photos with their families and friends around the campus, holding flowers and their diplomas. Sung Won (Graduate, Dept. of History) said, “It feels incredible that I’m wrapping up my four years of school today. I’m both nervous and excited that now I’m embarking on a new chapter in my life. Congratulations to all my fellow graduates, and I hope our future is filled with happiness.”
