Nurul Qurratuaini Binti Mohamad Fadzly: Evoking Happy Memories Through Extracurricular Activities
Q. What did you enjoy most about participating in in extracurricular activities in Gwangju?
A. Last year, I took part in the CNU Hospital Global International Student Supporters Program, where I got to know many supporters and enriched my networking. Thanks to the helpful health advice offered through the program, I have been able to share useful information with my international friends who are living alone here and encountering both physical and mental issues.
Q. How did you know about extracurricular activities in Gwangju?
A. I am a member of the KakaoTalk group for international students hosted by the CNU Office of International Affairs. Group administrators often introduce us to exciting activities targeted at international students that are beneficial for adapting to the studying and living environment at CNU. Through the group chat, I enrolled in the Gwangju Biennale Supporters program and the International Student Fellowship – a non-profit club organized by the Ministry of Education.
Q. Did you confront any difficulties when attending those activities?
A. Yes, I did. The traveling experiences during the Gwangju Biennale Supporters program were challenging for me. From 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., I had to visit art exhibitions and take responsibility for taking notes about pieces of art, then explaining them precisely. Additionally, I had problems managing time between classes, my part-time job, and extracurricular programs.
