Book of the Year for the 2024 GJRT: Yun Jung-eun’s 'Marigold Mind Laundry'

The poster for the Book of the Year for 2024 Gwangju and Jeonnam Read and Talk, Yun Jung-eun’s “Marigold Mind Laundry,” is presented on stage at the ceremony to mark the 72nd anniversary of CNU’s foundation in the university auditorium Minjumaru on June 5.

On June 5, Chonnam National University (CNU) declared that “Marigold Mind Laundry” by Yun Jung-eun was chosen as the Book of the Year for the 2024 Gwangju and Jeonnam Read and Talks (GJRT). This annual event attracted various CNU students, as well as Gwangju-Jeonnam citizens, to cast their votes for the Book of the Year from April 24 to May 23. Competing with four other books, “Marigold Mind Laundry” gained the majority with 4374 approvals. The novel focuses on the story of healing and self-discovery journeys.
